Green River Library , Wyoming October 24th 2008
The site, at 300 North 1st East, Green River, Wyoming, had previously been the city cemetery, which had been
established in 1892. In 1926, a federal CWA project moved the bodies and old grave markers to the Riverview
Cemetery just up the hill. In 1930 the town used the site as a park. During 1944 a Veteran’s Housing Site was built
on the site, due to the return of the veterans. During the construction, several remains were found and re-interned
at the now current Riverview Cemetery. The identity of the remains was unknown.
In 1978, during the construction of the new facility, twelve unknown graves were found. Again in 1983 during
landscaping of the grounds revealed more graves and remains. This renewed the fear of a historic epidemic of
smallpox and the re-introduction of the disease.
Since 1985 unexplained occurrences have been reported at the library. The Green River Library is listed on the
famous list of the ghost and haunted places in Wyoming.
On Oct 24th The library hosted a ghost walk threw there we maybe 120 people there and a history on the library.
During the major walk threw We took some pics and caught some orbs in some pics all though I have to speculate
not all that we caught were true orbs. Later .. Everyone left Ellie the Librarian let Hannah ,Hally and Myself walk
threw the library Quickly, we had a digital camera , 2 evps , and a Camcorder this was at 1245 am and it lasted till
130am now 45 min does not seem long enough to catch anything but we actually did.
Incident 1. We started off going up the stairs of the library and well Its smelled of strong lilac and vanilla very
strong we all pointed that out , we started asking questions and had all our equipment running we heard nothing at
the time but when we rolled back my video camera we caught a evp that was a mans voice saying "just get out of
here" I have to say this we are all women and there we no were men in the building at the time. When i listened to
my digital voice recorder we did catch that same evp but a second one came up it was loud it was a man saying "I
look like I am dead".
Incident 2. We went down the hall from upstairs and went to go down stairs and we heard taps come right from
behind us, we asked if that noise could be done again nothing at the same time there was a major cold spot by my
leg and we all felt it and have the light taps on camera. But I can debunk it because there could have been a draft
and the building could have settled.
Incident 3.After we went down stairs Hannah and I went into the library part alone no one in there and filmed and
did some evp work we went back to the far wall and I had a feeling that some one was starring at me and took a pic
down a isle of books and caught a pic of a full bodied apparition ( which can be seen on our pics tab) we were
asking provoking Questions and well we heard a book slam down behind us loudly we turned and quickly ran
towards the sound and found no where in the library a book on the floor or seen where it could have been , we did
not pick the sound up on the cams or the digital recorder so for that part its a personal experience for us that we
will remember.
Incident 4. We went back to the children area and asked questions and Hannah picked up a girls voice saying go
away.
Incident 5. When we went on the group tour Hannah heard something in the office and went back there and asked
is there and one in here and the voice said "ya" on evp.
Now I am sure a lot of people are going to speculate this report and pick it apart our findings will be on the
